Water Offsetting Site – West Sussex
Objective
The Nicholls team were asked to implement suitable water offsetting measures to reduce the farm’s reliance on mains water and create Water Credits for sale.

About the Project
Working closely with a Farmer, the Nicholls team drilled and tested a water borehole at the farm and provided all the appropriate regulatory requirements to enable the farm to reduce their water bills and use the water from their own land.
The creation and sale of Water Credits from this agreement has not only enabled the farm to have their own private water supply, but to have a well needed capital injection into their business.
The Water Credits created have been sold to various developers enabling them to provide a Water Neutrality solution for their planning applications.
The Nicholls Service and Maintenance Team will look after the system into the future.
